The increase in Gas Prices in Canada has been seen as a ‘Wild Ride at the Pumps’. The demands are high and ironically so is the increase in Gas prices and fluctuations are seen as a higher trend. According to market expectations, Canadians are expecting a volatile increase. The drivers in Canada has been enjoying some of the lowest gas prices in years. These are stats from a price comparison site known as Gas Buddy as analysts believe the change is due after a long period of lower prices. The drivers and motorists can expect a year of extreme volatility at the pumps for the year 2019.

The climate change factor has a lot to do as well with the change or an increase in gas prices. While after enjoying the summer driving season a switchover is due for further and more expensive summer gasoline. As summer is the period of more driving as compared in winter? Hence, obviously, more demand means more supply and definitely an increase in the pricing as part of the laws of marketing & supply chain.

Hence, it is a decision that can be fruitful for the federal Govt. They are imposing a carbon tax on provinces without their own plan. This plan shall be imposed on almost all provinces automatically resulting in the tax that will translate into an extra five cents per liter on gas pricings. A pricing strategy to combat climate change issues in Canada that are rising significantly on a daily basis.

According to an expert Mc-Teague Vancouver, the booming city of province British Columbia is highly set to increase its carbon taxes. This also includes the Trans Link tax starting from the 1st of April. This is seen as a huge take-over of Vancouver from Montreal.
